Season 2 is the second season of SpongeBob SquarePants which aired from 2000 to 2001. It consists of 20 episodes and 39 segments. The first episode, which premiered on November 2nd, 2000 contains the segments "Your Shoe's Untied" and "Squid's Day Off". The final episode contains the segments "Sandy, SpongeBob and the Worm" and "Squid on Strike". It aired on October 12th, 2001. It is the season that introduced specials, episodes where one segment takes up the whole runtime rather than an episode split into two segments that take up half the runtime.
