The Krusty Krab
The Krusty Krab is a resturant located in Bikini Bottom and across from rival resturant the Chum Bucket. It is owned and managed by Mr. Krabs. The show's protagonist SpongeBob is the resturant's frycook while his neighbor Squidward works the cashier. In some episodes, other characters like SpongeBob's best friend Patrick are employed. However, SpongeBob and Squidward are the only permanent employees as others are usually fired by the end of the episode they're hired in.
Depending on the season and episode, the Krusty Krab is depicted as an extremely popular and renowned resturant or unpopular and deemed outdated [1].
Appearance
Exterior wise, The Krusty Krab is situated in an asphalt circle with no space for parking. In front, it has one road that merges with a larger pathway. The Krusty Krab itself is shaped like a lobster trap. It is made out of wood and has large glass windows in the front and sides. The window on the left has a sign with a krabby patty on it. When hiring, Mr. Krabs will put a white sign with the words "Help Wanted" in red on said window. Nautical flags are adorned over the entrance. The entrance consists of two glass doors with yellow handles. It also has a wind vane and smokestack on the roof. On the backside, there is a green dumpster and a door leading into and out of the kitchen.
Next to the Krusty Krab's entrance is signage for it. The sign consists of a tall wooden pole and a light purple clam with "The Krusty Krab" on it in red lettering.
Inside, the Krusty Krab has five main rooms: the dining room, bathrooms, Mr. Krabs' office, kitchen, and freezer.
Situated in the front, the largest room is the dining room. The dining room consists of multicolored wooden steering wheel shaped tables. Customers use barrels as chairs. At the back of the room is the order station. The order station is a small white boat with a cashier and a tan menu sign hangs over it. There is also a window behind the cashier so order tickets and food can be exchanged.Above the back wall is various boxes and barrels. The floor is made of green planks.
Throughout the dining room there are multiple wooden support beams. In some episodes small t.v's are connected to these beams. In some episodes a t.v. is placed in front of the cash register by Squidward.
The bathrooms are located to very far side of the resturant. The entrance doors are usually located at the end by the right wall. It has green plank floors and a couple of sinks, mirrors, and bathroom stalls. The bathroom stalls are seperated by patchwork cloth tied to the ceiling.
The kitchen can be accessed by a door to the right of the order station. It has light green walls, counters with ingredients strewn about, a supply closet, grill, deepfryer, and a door which leads outside to the dumpster.
Menu
The Krusty Krab's menu consists of burgers called krabby patties and side dishes like coral bits. Throughout the shows course, besides the krabby patty, the menu has been inconsistent. Both on the Galley Grub and orders from customers. For example, the plot of the season 7 episode "Krusty Dogs"[2] is the Krusty Krab replacing the krabby patty with the krusty dog. In the season 1 episode "Pickles", ignoring how he wants it preperared, Bubble Bass orders a Double Triple Bossy Deluxe[3] . Which isn't depicted on the Galley Grub. When it comes to drinks, the resturant serves sodas.
